Sony Ericsson Nozomi incoming March 2012?

Posted: 03 Sep 2011 04:10 AM PDT

The guessing and waiting game begins.

Last week, we reported on the Sony Ericsson Nozomi, and now the rumours are that the phone will be released in March next year.

The flagship phone of 2012 for Sony Ericsson is said to come with a dual-core 1.5GHz processor and 1GB of RAM, along with a 4.3-inch screen with 1280x720 resolution. The phone's pixel density is 342PPI, which makes it higher than that of the iPhone 4 (326PPI).

Nozomi will run on 32GB of internal storage, but without a microSD slot, which makes it appear to be an iPhone competitor.

The Xperia Blog, which reported on the phone at first, now has more info on its release date; sources say the Sony Ericsson Nozomi UK release date is March 2012, which follows the pattern the company has of past releases.

Tech savvy adults in Britain increasing

The Office of National Statistic released its annual survey of British Internet Habits, showing that a majority of Britons use social networks such as Facebook and Twitter.

Adults (over 16) are using Facebook and Twitter more than they did last year, show the reports. According to the data, 57% of adults used social networks this year, as compared to 43% last year.

They are slowly catching up to the 16-24 age group, where 91% have used Facebook or Twitter this year. The over-65 group is also becoming tech-friendly with 18% using social networks.

A gender divide is also found, with 60% of women using social networks, compared to 54% of men. However, when it came to professional social networks such as LinkedIn, men use them almost twice as much as women (16% versus 9%).

How often do you use social networking sites, and which one is your favourite? Let us know through our social networking channels, Twitter and Facebook, and stay tuned in for more tech news.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Xbox 360 & accessories soon

Posted: 03 Sep 2011 02:05 AM PDT

Activision has unveiled a new limited edition Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Xbox 360. The new console was revealed by Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg during the keynote presentation at the Call Of Duty: XP convention in Los Angeles

The console will launch in the UK on November 8th, 2011 exclusively at GAME and Gamestation, and will be priced at £269.99.

The console comes skinned in a metallic grey, battle-worn aesthetic and is packaged with two wireless control-pads. It also boasts a 320GB hard-drive – the largest ever hard-drive on an Xbox 360 to date.

The package will also include a one-month Xbox LIVE Gold subscription.

The console emits Infinity Ward’s signature ‘load-up’ sound when either the power stud or eject button is pressed. It is also Kinect-ready, although the game Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 does not support the wireless motion controller.

In addition to the new console, Xbox 360 will be releasing a wireless headset, with artwork matching the console.

Priced at £44.99, the headset will come packaged with a charging cradle, ear loop, ear gels and an Xbox 360 LIVE token for exclusive DLC. Xbox 360 control pads, skinned in the same battle-worn aesthetic, will also be available for separate purchase, priced at £39.99 each.
